Sporting BV Halloween 3v3 Futsal Cup

You're in.

Your team is registered for the Sporting BV Halloween 3v3 Futsal Cup

Saturday, October 31 · Harmony Middle School Aux Gym

Check your email. A confirmation is on its way with your team name, your division, and your waiver links. If it's not there in five minutes, check spam — then email joew@sportingbv.org and we'll sort it out.

Everything you need to know

What

3v3 futsal, no goalkeepers, with a 3-yard no-go arc at each goal. Four games guaranteed: a full round robin against every other team in your division, then the final or the third-place game. Two 8-minute halves on a running clock, 2-minute halftime. That is 64 minutes of futsal. Substitutions are unlimited and on the fly. A futsal size 3 ball is provided.

When

Saturday, October 31. The day runs 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, but your team is only on site for its own wave, about 2½ hours. Your exact arrival time comes in the October 27 email. Arrive 30 minutes before your first game.

Where

Harmony Middle School Aux Gym
10101 W 141st St, Overland Park, KS 66221

Enter through Door #9 only. It faces east and it is the only door that will be open. Across the street from SBV HQ at the Scheels OP Soccer Complex. Two courts inside one gym. This is the first futsal event in the new auxiliary gym.

Who

Run by Sporting Blue Valley with Ngozi Gregory of Top Flight Futsal Academy. Everyone working the event is a volunteer, and the referees are SBV student-athletes from the scholarship program. Your team needs one adult team manager on site for all four games. No coaching licence required.

Your team

$200 per team, already paid. Four players minimum, six maximum. One team per player, no guest players. Your division is set by the age of your oldest player. Uniforms are not required and pinnies are supplied. Spectators are free.

Why

Your entry fee goes to the Sporting Blue Valley scholarship fund. It covers uniforms, travel costs, league registration fees and insurance for families who cannot cover them. Concessions go to the same fund.

Your next steps

Four things, in order.

Step 1 — do this now

Every player needs a signed waiver before they touch the court

Sign online now, or at the check-in table on Halloween morning.

Sign your waivers

One waiver per player. Takes two minutes each. Send the link to the other parents on your team.

Teams with all waivers done check in faster.

Step 2 — October 27

Watch for the schedule email

On October 27 we email you your division, your bracket, your arrival time, all four game times with court assignments, and the full tournament rules. The rules are not on this site, so that email is the only place they live. A short reminder follows on October 29.

Step 3 — the night before

Pack the bag

  • Flat, non-marking indoor shoes. No cleats, no turf shoes. It is a school gym floor and we check at the door. Tell every parent on your team today, not the night before.
  • Shin guards. Required.
  • Cash. Concessions are cash only.
  • Water.
  • A costume if your player wants one. Pinnies go over the top.
Step 4 — October 31

Arrive 30 minutes early, at Door #9

Thirty minutes before your first game, not at 7:30. Only the teams playing in the current wave are inside the building. Door #9 is the only entrance that will be open, it faces east, and all other doors stay closed. Bring every player's waiver done, or allow extra time to sign at the table.

Bring cash

Concessions are cash only. Drinks, candy and snacks. Every dollar goes into the same scholarship fund your entry fee does. Tell the other parents on your team.

What happens next

Now – October 26

October 26

Registration closes. Rosters lock. No day-of additions.

October 27

October 29

A short reminder email with the essentials.

October 31

Play.

One favor

Your division might not be full yet

Every division needs four teams to run. If yours comes up short, we have to merge you into another age group — and nobody wants that, least of all you.

Know another team? Send them this:

Sporting3v3.com

Two minutes of forwarding protects your division and gets your player the games they signed up for.

What your $200 is doing

Every dollar goes into the Sporting Blue Valley scholarship fund, which covers what a family cannot: uniforms, travel costs, league registration fees, and insurance.

The older players refereeing your games on Halloween are the ones that fund keeps on the field. That's why this tournament exists, and it's why we run it on a holiday morning instead of charging more.

Thanks for being part of it.

P.S. Waivers can be signed online now, or at check-in on Halloween morning. Online is quicker.
